This Privacy Policy explains how Marian Goquingco (“I”, “me”, or “my”) collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information through this website (the “Site”). It is written in line with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) of the Philippines and its implementing rules.
By using the Site, you acknowledge the practices described here. Please also read the Terms of Service.
1. Scope of this policy
This policy covers information collected through the Site only, including its pages and its contact form. The Site does not offer visitor accounts, so there is no profile or login information for visitors.
It does not cover information you give directly to FWD Life Insurance Corporation (“FWD Philippines”), for example when you apply for a plan. That information is handled under FWD Philippines’ own privacy policy. It also does not cover third party websites linked from or embedded in the Site.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide. When you send an inquiry through the contact form, I collect your full name, mobile number, email address, preferred meeting type, the topics you would like to discuss, your preferred schedule, and any message you choose to write.
Information collected automatically. When you view a public page, the Site records the page address and an anonymous visitor code. The visitor code is created by combining your IP address, your browser’s user agent, the current date, and a private key, and then passing them through a one way hash. Your IP address and user agent themselves are not stored, and the code changes every day, so it cannot be used to identify you or follow you across days. Visits from known bots and from the private administration area are not recorded.
Your IP address is also used briefly in server memory to limit how many contact form submissions and sign in attempts can be made in a short period. It is not written to the database for this purpose.
Like most websites, the hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP address, request time, and browser type, for security and reliability.
3. Information stored on your device
The Site uses your browser’s session storage to remember which pages you have already viewed during the current browser tab, so that a page is counted only once per visit. Each entry contains only the page address and a marker. Session storage is cleared automatically when you close the tab.
The Site does not use local storage, and it does not store your contact form details on your device.
Your answers to the “Not sure what you need?” questions, the free checklists, and the policy review checklist stay in your browser only. They are not sent to me or saved anywhere unless you choose to continue to the contact form, where your answers may be pre-filled for you to review, edit, or delete before sending.
4. How we use information
I use the information collected through the Site to:
- reply to your inquiry and schedule a consultation you asked for;
- follow up on questions you raised;
- understand which pages are visited, using anonymous page view totals;
- protect the Site from spam, abuse, and unauthorized access; and
- comply with legal and regulatory obligations.
I do not sell or rent your personal information, and I do not use it for advertising or for automated decision making.
7. Data retention
Inquiries are kept for as long as needed to respond to you and follow up, and then deleted, unless a longer period is required by law. You can ask me to delete your inquiry at any time.
Anonymous page view records are kept to show visit trends over time. Because they contain no name, contact details, IP address, or lasting identifier, they cannot be linked back to you.
8. Security
I take reasonable organizational, physical, and technical measures to protect personal information. The Site is served over an encrypted connection, the administration area is protected by sign in with hashed passwords and attempt limits, and access to inquiries is limited to authorized people. No method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
9. Children's privacy
The Site is intended for adults. I do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 through the contact form. If you believe a minor has sent me personal information without the consent of a parent or guardian, please contact me and I will delete it.
10. Your rights and choices
Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012, you have the right to:
- be informed about how your personal information is processed;
- access the personal information I hold about you;
- object to processing;
- have inaccurate information corrected;
- have your information erased or blocked;
- receive your information in a portable format;
- be indemnified for damages due to inaccurate, unlawfully obtained, or unauthorized use of data; and
- file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission.
You can also choose not to use the contact form, and you can clear session storage at any time by closing the browser tab.
11. International users
The Site is intended for users in the Philippines. The service providers that host the Site, its database, and its email delivery may store or process information on servers located outside the Philippines. When that happens, I rely on providers that apply appropriate safeguards, and your information remains protected as described in this policy.
12. Changes to this policy
I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When I do, I will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Significant changes will take effect when posted, and continued use of the Site after that means you accept the updated policy.
